“Chicco house – The distance between the real and the realistic is, in their works so tiny it instinctively arouses a sense of unease, as in the case of Chicco house. Within the pentagonal perimeter of a Chicco house that has been realistically produced with the plastic and coloured texture of the original, five monkeys celebrate a birthday, as shown by the Happy Birthday banner on the floor. On a rug covered in ash and chocolate, the marks of a party which has got a little out of hand, there is a gun, an ashtray with cigarette butts and a bottle of VOV that is probably empty, but also a packet of crisps and a box of Pesoforma. The concentration of the worst adult behaviour represented in a limited space of a children toy where the humans are the monkeys.”
