Notes
This opera was born from the reflection over death sentence. Although we take a stand against it, we do not intend to express any judgement. It simply wants to make you think about the beauty of life and the good in all of us, in each man, even in the ones that carry out extreme evil. The opera, entirely in ceramic, is the reproduction of an electric chair covered by three types of butterflies in porcelain representing the three ethnic groups mostly sentenced to death penalty: White, Hispanic and Black. Since Christianity, the butterfly is the symbol of transition from life to death.
